Context
Mao Projects first started as a small, fun side project based on Mao's research-creation during her Master of Fine Art, but it has since expanded to become an official business founded by Mao (Kun) Chen and her partner, Chris Savage. Both are visual artists and instructors who met while pursuing their MFA degrees and have exhibited their works within Canada, the UK, and China.
