Our ceramics are crafted using stoneware clay or porcelain, then fired in an electric kiln (two or three times) and glazed to be food-safe unless stated otherwise. We employ both hand-building and slip-casting techniques to create functional yet sculptural pieces that reflect our unique aesthetic.
Yes, our ceramic tableware is made with stoneware clay that is glaze-fired to cone 6, ensuring it is food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe. However, we recommend hand washing to prolong the life and appearance of the pieces.
To maintain your ceramic pieces, avoid rapid temperature changes between hot and cold, as this can cause thermal shock, resulting in cracks or breakage. While our ceramics are durable, gentle hand washing is recommended for long-term care.
Our over-glazed Lustre pieces are non-toxic after firing and safe for dinnerware use. However, to preserve the quality of the finish, we advise against using these pieces in microwave ovens or dishwashers. Instead, handle them with extra care and opt for gentle hand washing only.
